Voxengo TEOTE 1.2 Automatic Spectral Balancer Voxengo is happy to release TEOTE version 1.2, an automatic spectral balancer plugin for professional music production applications, available in AAX, AudioUnit, VST, and VST3 plugin formats, for macOS and Windows computers. TEOTE was designed to be a very useful tool for both mixing and mastering. It automatically performs such tasks like gentle resonances taming, de-essing, tilt equalizing, usually performed during mixing and mastering. In mixing, TEOTE sounds good on pretty much any material. The new “Flat/Eq.Loud/EQL+Rock” switch selects an additional profile setting, which may be useful during mastering. The “Eq.Loud” setting applies a 2-2.5dB, 0.8-1 octave wide, boosts to 60, 1.57k and 9.1kHz spectrum areas. The “EQL+Rock” additionally applies a boost to 3.4kHz spectral area, which is often used in rock and metal music. When using these settings, a post-equalizer after TEOTE usually becomes unnecessary. These settings are best used for “Slope” values below -4.2dB/oct; for higher “Slope” values they may be excessive. Eventide TriceraChorus Classic Chorus Effect Introduced in January for the Eventide H9 Harmonizer® multi-effects pedal, Eventide Audio is now releasing its TriceraChorus effect as a plug-in for Windows, Mac OS X and iOS. Eventide ShimmerVerb Reverb Plug-In Eventide Audio has released its new ShimmerVerb plug-in, combining a massively lustrous reverb with parallel pitch shifters to add ethereal layers, making any signal “shimmer.” Producers and engineers have previously achieved this effect by using Eventide pitch-shifting hardware such as the H910, H949, or H3000 or other rack-mount units in combination with a reverb.
