Over 120MB of snares, snares and nothing but snares! The snare is arguably the most defining sound of a drumset. Changing just the snare of a kit alters the perceived nature of the entire set dramatically and allows you to adapt a kit to a genre. A shallow 13" snare with a satisfying crack can be perfect for modern funk while a deep 14" snare fits the need for a classic rock sound. This is why we have developed SnarePak. It adds 11(!) snares to your Jamstix sound library that can be used with any of your existing kits. Huge spectrum of snare types Snare Pak offers a wide range of snare types with widths from 10" to 14", depths between 3.5" and 7" and various materials, such as maple, brass, birch and mahagony Ambience and close-stereo sounds for maximum flexibility All snares come in standard ambient format as well as the new close-stereo format, offering sounds that range from fat & roomy to close & intimate. 5-Microphone Recording All snares were recorded using five microphones. Two are capturing the room ambience, two provide the close stereo sound from the top and the fifth microphone captures the snare bottom sound. The bottom sound was carefully mixed into the close stereo sounds to achieve optimum sound balance with just the right buzz and centered mids. Jamstix allows you to control the ratio of ambient to close signal to fit your particular needs whether it be a dry, intimate sound or a thundering, roomy snare. Extended X-Sample Technology Takes full advantage of Jamstix X-sample technology, which increases realism by using several different samples for each sound at the same velocity. By using more variations of stick placement (left, right hand etc.) an even more realistic and varied tone than the Jamstix default sounds is achieved.
