The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is an annual songwriting contest whose mission is to provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional, international arena. ISC is designed to nurture the musical talent of songwriters on all levels, and promote excellence in the art of songwriting. Amateur and professional songwriters and musicians are invited to participate. ISC has the most prestigious panel of judges of all the songwriting contests in the world, offering exposure and the opportunity to have your songs heard by the most influential decision-makers in the music industry.

One of the largest and most prestigious songwriting competitions in the world, ISC offers entrants a chance to win over $100,000 in cash and prizes, including an Overall Grand Prize package of $10,000 (US) in cash and $20,000 in merchandise. ISC is open to both amateur and professional songwriters of every level, and all musicians, artists and songwriters are invited to submit their original songs. All entries must be postmarked on or before October 14, 2005.

ISC provides the perfect opportunity for artists, bands and songwriters looking to gain recognition in the music industry and have their songs heard by some of the most influential members of the music industry, including presidents of ten record labels (Universal, Capitol Music UK, ATO Records, and more) and legendary artists such as Loretta Lynn, Sonny Rollins and Tom Waits.

In addition to the cash and prizes, ISC winners also benefit greatly from the industry exposure and media attention of winning a competition as prestigious as ISC. Previous ISC winners have included: Tara Slone (one of the 15 performers on CBS TV's Rock Star: INXS); Carbon Leaf (signed to Vanguard Records); Amanda Palmer of Dresden Dolls (signed to Roadrunner Records); Chris Sernel of Escape From Earth (recently named the winner of the MTV/COKE "Make It Real" Contest); Michael Flynn (signed to J Records); Troy Verges, Blair Daily and Gordie Sampson (their song "Paris" is featured on Faith Hill's latest album) and more.

2005 Sponsors: Disc Makers, Epiphone, ASCAP, Berklee College Of Music, L.R. Baggs, Alphabet Arm Design, FYE, Fishman Tranducers, Planetary Group, ADK Microphones, Moog Music, Hear Technologies, Music Registry, Mediaguide, ArtistMonitor, Sam Ash Music Stores, Sibelius, Onlinegigs.com, Musicians Atlas and Sonicbids.
