Listen to: Beyond Words (Michael McCabe) The Arts and Entertainment newspaper at The Oregonian in Portland, Oregon says, "Beyond Words is pretty and melodic". Beautifully recorded acoustic guitar with other instruments to soothe and relax. Beyond Words is Michael's fourth release featuring pianist Michael Allen Harrison as producer and flutist Brian Dunning from the Irish band Nightnoise. Acoustic nylon and steel string guitars, piano, congas and synth percussion. Crafting these thoughts into melodies and rhythms is a true joy and satisfaction of expression. Each one symbolizes a time and place in my life expressed in an audio story of wordless beauty. Creating an emotion without words is a challenge to artists of all mediums. I have successfully expressed my thoughts in musical composition which is truly beyond words. I owe many thanks to my family and friends and to my fans for their support. With your help I was able to release Beyond Words, a project finally realized. I started recording Beyond Words in 1993. And between this and that and lack of funding I wasn't able to release it until 2000. Beyond Words contains some of my best compositions. I've been blessed several times on this project and feel honored to have such an awesome group of fine musicians to help fulfill my needs as a composer. In order of sequence my first blessing was to record in one of the finest recording studios in Washington and Oregon, USA called Soundtracks Studios in Vancouver, Washington. The next Blessing was acquiring flutist Brian Dunning from the band Nightnoise on Windham Hill Records. He plays on Reminiscence. Next blessing is finding Michael Allen Harrison to produce Beyond Words. He brought in Phil Baker on acoustic bass and Isreal Nii Annah on congas.
