Arpeg is just as the name implies... A MIDI-based Arpeggiator! It can work with any synth or sampler you have, just load it up, set up the channel, and make the pattern it will mute/unmute to! You can even save out your arpeggiator patterns, and trade them with your friends! It's pretty straightforward to use, if you press down a button, it will play a note, on the arpeggiation board, it will play a note, if the button is not down, it will not play a note. If two (or more) consecutive buttons are down, then it will sustain the note until the next up button. You can modify the way in handles incoming data by changing the Mode (which defaults to Normal); just play around with it, and you'll get the idea. If you want to pass the data thru to another device, just change the MIDI channel from 0 (disabled) to whatever the channel is you wish to send the arpeggiated data to. The little [V] option let's you turn on (when it's pushed in) the Virtual Piano feature. You should be careful about entering in data while using this mode, since it triggers sounds. If you minimize the application, it goes on the system tray (lower right, by the clock), just left click on the icon to bring up the app again.
