May 2017 marks Cakewalk’s 30th Anniversary, so the 2017.05 update launches a year-long celebration with numerous new features and updates. Ripple Editing now allows for quick, arrangement-oriented editing and moving around large blocks of music—it’s basically like editing the timeline, with any clips going along for the ride. Ripple Editing can apply to specific selections of clips, or all clips in a project. Automation, tempo changes, markers, and more obey ripple edits.
