Not sure what you mean by "standalone". If you mean you're using it outside of SONAR and not as a plug-in inside SONAR, you can't really do that. You need to insert it as a plug-in in a SONAR project using the Insert > Synth menu.

"standalone"means ya can access it all by itself no daw's needed and it's also supposed to be available in sonar but it's not!
So I installed arturia standalone brass, vst and rtas.i know rtas and standalone are not all needed.i did this to see if it would show up.it didn't and no place is seen by sonar.i do see it's vst in steinberg vstís
Insert > Synth menu
tried this but Nothing is listed there.even in a audio and midi tracks no listing.
I've opened sonar and standalone and recorded a piece and when I play back I see the notes but no sound.Arturia is installed in c/program files/arturia brass and itís vst is in steinberg vstís.

You need to go into Options > Globat > VST Plug-ins and make sure SONAR has your VST folder listed. If it does, then try doing a scan. After that, the VST should show up in the menu.

Hmmm... I'm not sure why that's happening. I think you'll need to contact Cakewalk tech support to see if they have a solution.
