Frettless is the ultimate in Bass experience IMO. I thing of Sting when I think Frettless. I have had my eye on this Bass a Schecter, and I own a Schecter Guitar that I love, so I know there are a few Bass players in here. What do you think a nice buy when I can get a VIP 20% off? Schecter make really nice bass guitars. You shouldn't have to swap in better pickups and should be good to go right outta the box.

Right on DS! EMGs are on (2) other Basses I have which I Hod Rodded. A 5-String ESP I posted a while back uses ESP pups and sound very clear and quiet and very similar to EMGs.

Schecter makes great Guitars as well with Active EMGs which I posted as well. Very nice tone and Quiet.

DS: If I buy this Bass (on Discount) I would use Flat Rounds Not Round Wounds which I hear in the Reviews tears up the Fretboard. Plus Flats are Quiet. I have used a Long Scale Bass before - Ovation, which was my first Bass and used Stainless Steel RotoSound Stings. They also have Flats Ernie Ball but the British RotoSound would sound Brighter. - Stuart
