I have 2 question about the Staff view in Sonar 8.3.

1) How do I Tie Notes?
2) How do I print the Staff View?

1. Technically, you can't. However, if you remove the second note and change the duration of the first note, SONAR may put a tied pair of notes in. SONAR handles ties automatically because the Staff view isn't really a full-fledged notation feature.

2. Just make sure the Staff view is the front, active window in the SONAR workspace and then choose the File menu. At the bottom of the menu is a skinny gray bar with three right-pointing arrows. Hover your mouse over that to access the Print functions.

I tried editing notation in Sonar and finally realized that i was better off getting Sibelius.

Hi Nikki,

Yeah, the Staff view in SONAR is mainly just a quick way for printing out MIDI parts. It can't compete with a full-featured notation application.
