VIDEO: Cakewalk SONAR: Automating Data Selections

Scott Garrigus demonstrates how to apply automation to data selections using Cakewalk SONAR. Versions 8.5 (and earlier) as well as X1 (and later) are covered. In addition, some tips for working with automation envelopes are included.

Cakewalk SONAR is a digital audio workstation that can be used for a variety of different tasks, including composing music, developing computer game music and sounds, producing compact discs, creating audio for the Web, and even scoring films and videos. SONAR provides a number of features to support all these endeavors and more. As a matter of fact, you can use SONAR as the central piece of software in your studio because it controls all your music gear from your computer via on-screen control panels. No matter which way you decide to use SONAR, you'll find plenty of flexibility and power in the tools provided.

Great Video! I would have never thought it was that easy.

I needed to do some fader automation in X1b and figured I was going to lose an hour just to the new learning process. About 10 minutes after watching your video I had all of my automation done and the project saved. Again, I would have never thought it was that easy if I hadn't have watched it in your video.

Thanks So Much!

Kind regards,
Rick

Hi Rick,

Thanks very much! Good to see you here at the DigiFreq site.

Yeah, I think working with automation is much easier now in X1.

Stay tuned because I'll have some more free videos posted in the near future... hopefully, another one later this week.

Scott
