I have an audio project from my last CD that I'm making instrumental for a flash dance project. Since my keyboard playing sucks, I was gonna print the staff view of the melody and let the wife play it, as her skills suck rather less.

However, since the default key is C and the song is in E, the staff view is cluttered up with sharps. I've tried inserting key change, which just adds a measure in E to the beginning. If I select all in the insert menu, the change and delete are grayed out.

Any ideas?

Hi Ed,

No, you don't want to insert a key change. Instead, you want to change the key for the entire project.

Choose Views > Meter/Key. There should be one meter/key listed in the window. Double-click the meter/key and change the key. That should change the key for the whole project.
