You can convert a sf2 file to sfz for dimension pro loading.
And if you do get a converter program all your soundfont collection can be moved to Rapture/Dpro/Dropzone.
With the sfz player you don't need to convert but to use the tools in a great synth/s it can come in handy. There are several that come to mind that support sfz format. Chicken systems and Awave are 2, I use awave. |

The company also is offering the same samplesets in SF format, which opens it up to other apps outside of Dim Pro.

I'm up on this stuff, huh! That's due to my having bought a lot of the E-mu line and their hardware sample boards. Then collected them again in software. |

I wasn't aware that there was more than one version. I couldn't find a SoundFont version on the Cakewalk site. It just has the Dimension version listed. Anyway, I got the Dimension version, which includes an installer.

DimPro dont handle SF2 files
It happens !
I played it through the SFZ and the NNXT
sounds good i think

There should be info on this on the website from where you bought it. The thing is made specifically for Dim Pro I thought. They have a SF version too. I didn't think they were the same. |

Well, there is no installer - it looks like a Soundfont 2.0 file
It's about 15Meg
So where do I put it ?

Yes, they should be installed in the same place as all your other DimPro programs. I don't remember the installation process, but I'm pretty sure it does this automatically.
Then in DimPro, click the Empty Program slot to bring up the Program Browser and press F5 on your computer keyboard to refresh the program list.
That should do it...

I haven't touched the file yet, I just bought the down loadable one
Didnt know it had an installer, since I havent opened the zip file yet
I was wondering before I install it - should I point the installer to where the multisamples are ?

Hey Ed,
You mean those new soundpacks from Cakewalk that were developed by Digital Sound Factory? The Proteus 2000, etc? Yeah, I have those too. Will be writing up a review soon.
What are you having trouble with? Did you go through the installation?
