| Spitfire Audio releases free sample library - Spitfire Symphony Orchestra Discover | ||||||
 Spitfire Audio has launched its largest free sample library, Spitfire Symphony Orchestra Discover (SSO Discover). Recorded at the legendary AIR Lyndhurst Studios in London, SSO Discover is carefully constructed as a lightweight, fully functional version of Spitfire Audio’s award-winning, best-selling Spitfire Symphony Orchestra. It features 44 curated instruments and 73 techniques, including a robust selection of strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, piano, and more.Building on the success of BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover, released in 2020, and now enjoyed by over one million users, SSO Discover brings professional-quality orchestral samples to music creators worldwide. SSO Discover was designed to eliminate barriers to entry, and allow creators across all genres, from composers, producers and instrumentalists, to easily experiment with authentic orchestral arrangements. The library provides professional audio output and is designed with an accessible user experience to run effortlessly within Kontakt Player. To further support new users on their journey, Spitfire Audio has teamed up with ThinkSpace Education to deliver ‘Introduction to Writing for Orchestra’, a free companion course that helps users explore the art of orchestral composition using SSO Discover. This release sets the new standard for the brand's accessible offering, established through products such as BBCSO and LABS. SSO Discover unlocks a breadth of audio opportunities for producers and composers, as the pinnacle of free VSTs, both in terms of quality and quantity, the new offering takes unrestricted music composition to a new level.
