BRASS is a software recreation of three wind instruments: a trompette, a saxophone and a trombone. It is based on physical models of the real instruments, a technology offering much more expressivity, ease of use and possibilities than traditional sample-based software instruments. ARTURIA has partnered exclusively with IRCAM to bring this groundbreaking technology to your studio.

Introduced officially at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, the newborn Arturia software is the fruit of a cooperation with IRCAM, a Paris-based laboratory.

While the inside technology is highly innovative, the way to use BRASS is quite traditional:

- Play the instruments, or a section of instruments, from your MIDI keyboard. Or use BRASS as a plug-in within your host sequencer. The main difference with samplers is that you will control much more parameters from your trompete or saxophone, achieve more expressivity and realism, especially when playing solo instruments.

- Choose from a large library of prewritten loops, called Riffs, the musical phrase you need. Then change all aspects of the riffs: pitch or lenght of one note, timber of individual notes, transitions between notes,... Physical modelling means total freedom over your music material.

Shipping when?
We will start shipping BRASS in June.
