I just picked up a Blackheart 5W combo amp. Wanted to know if you had any knowledge and opinion on them. $229 shipped - new. 12 inch speaker. Seemed like a steal to me. It seems like the kind of amp you'd love DS - as there are all sorts of possibilities with swapping tubes and other mods to the thing.
Both of these amps got rave reviews - you know me - I end up basing a lot on that kind of thing. With buying everything on-line these days - I just read the reviews, buy the thing, and take my chances. Haven't noticed where they were made. The Blackheart is a pretty simple amp. The Blackstar on the otherhand has a lot more features. That one I'm the most interested in. I've got a ridiculous number of guitar amps now. I kind of went low-watt tube amp crazy. Haven't yet bought the Fender boutique amps yet - they look very interesting to me.
By the way - my Russian girlfriend from a while ago - long gone. There have been a few others since, but right now - I'm back to the drawing board on the Russians. The country is a mess. Everyone in Moscow with any sense feels very discouraged and depressed. They hate Putin and his party. The party of crooks and thieves. That's what they call it. Anyone that can is trying to get out of there. It's even worse in the provinces. The Russian women, so far, they can be very difficult. They have frightful tempers. The guys that go over there to pick up Russian brides - insane. I've gotten hooked up with a recording studio and their artists in Moscow. A bunch of young guys doing the studio part - and a nice roster of hopeful artists. Early to mid 20's; a great age.
