If I have a plugin on a clip and then bounce to clip, Do I lose that processing?

I did a punch and was obviously not quite the same distance from the vocal mic, so I eq'd that section to make it sound right. Then I bounced to clip so I could try to smooth the transition in Sound Forge.
The seam sounds fine, but the tone afterwards is darker like before.

No, you don't lose it. The processing should be permanently applied to the selected data.

Well, it didn't. Had to split the track and redo the eq. But I've been having some weird saving glitches, so that doesn't surprise me. I'll just be glad to get a good image of this damned album on a couple different drives and be done! It's time to go play the market gigs.

Never thought it would be harder to mix just guitar and vocals than a full band.

Hmmm... weird. This is with SONAR X1? I tried it here and it works.

I think that's just way music was designed. Us musicians are meant to suffer for our art.

No, I'm still on 8.5 SE, and probably will stay there. I know it pretty well, it works pretty well, and I'm too old to have a constant learning curve. I need to make music before arthritis cripples my hands!

Doesn't matter, the punch sticks out like a mouse turd in a sugar bowl, so I'll just retrack it. All the gear is still set up, I'll just have to have Rosie help me set the levels.

Yeah, it's usually best to retrack if you can... unfortunately, technology still isn't at the point where it can fix everything with music... although, maybe that's a good thing.
