Thanks, Scott, but do you mean physically or the software? Mike |

Hi, getting slightly depressed...... Is it ok to discuss in this forum Soundforge and my sound card? Sorry if it's in wrong forum. Anyway, advice from Echo is that the Mia Midi has no "what you hear" function and the outputs must be connected to the inputs to record from the PC. I'll copy below the emails sent to and from Echo and perhaps you can understand my problem, because Echo doesn't seem to!!!!

Just been recording into Soundforge Pro10 and I'm finding that the sliders and mute buttons in the Mia Console view don't work. To adjust the input volume I have to open the Windows volume controls from the system tray, where I can adjust the input with the Wave slider, but the Mia console meters still move even if I've turned the volumes off!!!. To adjust the Virtual Out volume it's back to the Windows control where it has a Virtual Out 1-2 slider. Moving the Analogue input and Virtual output sliders in the Mia Console view does nothing. Any Ideas, please? Mike

I press the mute buttons, and nothing is muted. I move the sliders and the volume doesn't change. The only way to adjust the volume is by the Windows volume control in the system tray. Secondly, I am using a mixer as my interface with my computer. But why would I need a mic preamp when I'm not using a mic?
I am trying to record the audio from a YouTube video from the YouTube site in real time. To record in Soundforge, as per your advice, I've connected the Mia Midi card outputs to a line level stereo channel in my mixer then straight into Soundforge on my PC. But the Mia Midi volume sliders don't have any affect at all. I have to use the Windows volume control in the system tray. How do I get the Mia Midi sliders to work? Mike"
Can't seem to get any advice from Echo....can anyone else suggest anything, please? Thanks, Mike |

Yes, I'm connecting the outputs to the inputs but I can't now monitor the audio being recorded, I can only monitor from my external mixer before it goes into the PC. I'm not getting much luck with Echo, and it's making me want to replace the Echo with my old trusty SBLive!!!!! At least that does what I want it to do. Mike |
