Hi Spanky,
Don't get rid of the 410, that's not good advice, whoever gave it to you. That box will serve you well.
You can certainly pickup an inexpensive FW>USB adapter but I'm not aware of an adapter that would allow you to still power the the 410 via the computer's bus (the USB bus). But you have a power supply, so just use that. The adapter you need would be a 6pin FW to USB. |

| Spanky, I have no idea, as to your question about the manuals and using the gear and software - I never use any of this stuff. I just buy it and collect it. Most of the stuff stays in the box unopened. The complexity of it all - I don't even like trying to figure out the complex features of a new watch or things like a VCR - or whatever the digital version is - DVR. I rarely use any of the advanced feature - but I sure want to have them!!! |

hehehe... you're funny Otto. For audio interfaces with PC, firewire is the only consistent way as to not to have poblems with the datastream, even the newer usb versions. - been there, done that |

| At least I can go either way - as I have interfaces with both Firewire and USB2 - don't have Firewire 800 devices, nor USB3 - but I don't expect to do a lot of heavy track counts either. So far, I'm loving my Fantom G6 - and any time I have - it's being used up playing that synth. Haven't even gotten to the Korg or the Nord yet. |
