Not sure if this is the right forum, but was wondering if anyone has had any success using a PCR300 controller with any IPAD II midi applications. I have tried every combination of output settings and can not get the controller to control IPAD applications. It works fine controlling Sonar X1 and I have been able to use an older Yamaha keyboard to control IPAD apps. I am using the Line 6 midi interface. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

No idea. I know the PCR sends out regular MIDI messages out of its MIDI port, so it should work like any other controller. Reading through the PCR manual might provide some ideas... it does have a number of features that allow you to change its configuration.

Figure out what midi channel you are sending out from the PCR300 and what midi channel your IPAD II software is expecting. They have to be the same. I used to have an app on my desktop computer that would just show me that midi settings were being sent out from my keyboard. It was a great app. I'd be like - oh, what the heck - channel 8 huh! Sometimes you can set the receiving software to a setting like Omni.

Finally resolved this issue. PCR defaults to USB output. I had to turn this default off so the output would be the MIDI out terminal. Thanks for your responses

I'm glad you were able to get that solved. Yeah, a lot of times, the solution is a simple one, but sometimes that's even worse because they're easy to overlook.
