Just thought I would report back that I finally got Sound Forge 10 to work with X1/64. Here is the ExePath that did it.

ExePath C:\Program Files(x86)\Sony\SoundForge Pro 10.0\Forge100.exe
MenuText Sound Forge Pro&10
SatusBar Text Run Sound Forge Pro 10 Audio Editor
Type WaveEditor

I'm pretty sure I tried that, but I'll check and make sure. How did you enter it?

Cool... thanks for sharing that info, John!

Ed... you need to use the Windows Registry editor to change the Tools key in the Cakewalk registry area.

Check out this article for more info...

Tried that several times.

"Cannot create process"

Scott, do you think there's a difference between X1 and 8.5 that might explain this?

Old Goat...I am sorry to hear that things are not working for you. I can't understand why it is that way. Since making the registry tweak, I have worked several hours with Sound Forge 10 and X1 (64) with no problems. I select a clip in X1 click on Sound Forge in the Utilities menu and the clip shows up in Sound Forge ready for editing. I tried many combinations, but the one I posted above finally worked, and is working for me. Keep us posted here of any progress related to this topic.
Thanks,

Yeah, I select a clip, click on SF, get a progress bar, then the cannot create process message.

Works fine in 32 bit.

No, there shouldn't be any difference other than the menu in X1 being called Utilities rather than Tools. But the name doesn't affect how it works at all and the registry keys are still the same... they are listed under Tools in the registry.
