Is anyone using the Arturia Analog Experience Factory or Laboratory?

If so, do you have to interface with the software via MIDI? Or can you interface via USB?

Thanks

Hey DS,

Don't have one and never used one, but from what I've read it has both MIDI Out and USB connections. I'm thinking it probably uses USB for most communications and just provides MIDI Out so you can use it as a normal MIDI keyboard, but not positive about that.

For me, it's too short. I wish it was 49 keys.

Otto, the Laboratory model is 49 keys.

Thanks Scott, I'll just see if GC can demo one for me and see if the USB connect handles the data requests and commands.

Cool DS, I hadn't kept up with them. I've got the software I believe, but not the hardware - or software that's similar - whatever it was they sold a couple years ago that was their combination offering. I can't keep up with all the names. I love their products.

P.S. - just bought 2 more guitars in the past few days DS. I'll have some pics of them soon to post. I can't believe it, yet another LP - my 3rd.

I bought a Seagull S12 yesterday afternoon. It was just too good of a deal to resist and I'd been looking for a birthday present for myself anyway. So there it was. Congrat's on the LP's, would love to see pics, yes. I'm sure we all would.

Just got my 1st of the 2 guitars today. It's an Epiphone Wilshire Pro - color blue - made in China and set up in the USA. The setup was perfect, and it's really a gorgeous looking guitar. $199.00 - how can you beat that price. I really love it. Sounds great right out of the box. No string buzz of any kind, and the action was set perfect - just as I like it. I really would like the latest model with the tremolo, but I couldn't pass up the great low price for this limited-edition model. The setup was done in the USA. It's really quite light - a nice change from the weight of the LP. The neck is also very thin and comfortable for me. It's much more comfortable in my hand than the LPs I currently own - 2 Standards.

I've always wanted an original Wilshire but they're too pricey. Thought about buying one of the new ones and then modding it with replacement pups/neck/tuners, etc., but decided against that. They're a beautiful model. Glad you like yours.

Added later: I actually meant the Dwight guitar from Epi, not the Wilshire, although the Wilshire looks similar.

The other guitar I got is also an Epiphone:

Epiphone Les Paul Plustop PRO FX Electric Guitar Regular Honey Burst

$399. I just love the idea of having an LP with a locking Floyd Rose tremelo system.
