Why is there only one post here?
OK, I like downbound train by Bruce.
Im trying to learn it and Im running into something that I cant
understand.

It sounds like the beginning guitar part could be done in A
and hammering down on the G but......
My ear tells me from listening to the track that it starts in G
Next: I looked up the chords and tab, more confusion.
The tab I found does start in G but it doesnt appear to be correct.
The chords I found says it starts in Em the E doesnt match whats on the track. The arrangment sounds right when I play it E G D.
But thats 3 half steps away from what I hear on the track.

I want to do a sequence and a cover on this song.

Greg

There was only one post because the forum was set to only display recent topics. I've fixed that. Thanks!

Not sure about Downbound Train. Have you checked out the official sheet music?

You might try different inversions/positions of the Em cord.

If the start of the song was in one of those exotic tunings like a dropped D it might account for this difference.

standard tuning Em/G
o_2_o_o_3_3 0= open 2=second fret fingered 3=third fret fingered

Love to make that music,as well I love to tweak,Make my own sample sets
