I do not know how professional a unit you require, but I do have one and suggest the Cakewalk Studio V 100. I was having the same problem and went with the 100 for $550.00. I am not sorry that I did that.

I'd have to get the 700, if for no other reason to keep up with Scott.

I do have a lot of stuff, and I'm really sickened at this point by how much overkill I've got. That all said, there is still lots of cool stuff out there yet to be had that is a bit different than what I've already got. I'm also slipping behind on versions of Acid, Sonic Founry, Vegas, Sonar, Samplitude, Cubase, Komplete; and I don't have any new gear in the way of sound hardware and thus have at least 5 year old hardware, maybe as much now as 10 years old. Only have the oldest of the CME gear for example. I still have older audio I/O interfaces now too - though some are still quite cool. This is only going to get worse now as I'm not going to try and keep up. I think I'll be running WinXP for a long time.
