| Can't believe it's another Christmas and Digifreq just keeps rolling along. 6th anniversary in one respect. Time just goes by - chunk chunk chunk. Maybe in 2010 I'll start working on finishing my 1995 to-do list. |

Merry and Happy Christmas to you too!
And Happy New Year (soon) as well.
Yeah, time just flies right by... I can't believe it's 2010 and we don't have flying cars or aliens visiting the planet yet.
DigiFreq is still doing pretty well... rolling along (as Otto said). There's still plenty of things to be done, but I'm getting to them slowly but surely. I think it's been around 10 years since the first site was up... that was when I think I just had a personal site and a basic discussion page (based on Microsoft Frontpage) and my first book had just come out.
Things have definitely changed, but I think all for the better.
Hopefully, 2010 will be a good year, but before we know it, we'll probably be back here ushering in 2011. That's life, I guess...

Yes, I remember the original site. Kind of amazing how far it's come since then.
Ended up buying myself some music Christmas presents. I guess the biggest was Goliath, followed by the holiday 3 for $495 deal. Got the Pianos, Silk, and Stormdrum 2. Also picked up Best Service's new Accordions. Might also get some harpsichord sample sets as well, and maybe some fortepianos.
I guess there was more stuff, though I can't remember - oh, a Line 6 X3 Live - totally unnecessary purchase on my part. Just pure impulsive spending. They had a $100 off deal.
There's various other stuff out there of interest on sale. If you don't have Arturia's line, there are deals. Novamusik has some great low prices on the individual synths, and they still have the 10 year package which is the way to go.
OP-X Pro is on sale. That thing looks kind of interesting. |

Ha ha ha, make fun, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha; well, who else was going to buy me more music software and gear? My wife, my older daughter (you've got to be kidding), or my two little ones - neither yet 5 years old? My brothers? Fat chance. So it's just left to me, unless there really is a santa.
In year's past, I'm usually the one that ends up starting the Merry Christmas thread anyhow. Usually, around Digifreq, it's like some kind of little dark cloud hanging over this place at Christmas. Where's the Christmas decorations Scott - for Digifreq? Zip, nada. I think we have some Christmas issues around this joint, huh?
Now, what else did I buy myself with all my piles of money (and no more space in the house)?
Geez, it's almost 5 PM, time to head off to my brother's for Christmas Eve festivities. Chow (deliberate misspelling dudes)!
Oh yeah, Merry Christmas to all you screwballs here. |

I was just thinking about how long the site's been up, yesterday. I remember stumbling across it and there were like, 4 or 5 members. I joined up and have been visiting daily ever since.
I remember I was sitting at my desk and I was in SC. That couldn't have been any later than September of '99. I'm pretty sure it was a lot earlier than that - maybe February or March?? Dunno - there's a smoking abyss where the neurons used to go...
At any rate, this site and life just keep getting better. I remember the rough times, too, as I'm sure many others (no names, please) do too. :) Still, it's like a big, distant, dysfunctional family. Love y'all!
Merry Christmas.

Jeff Foxworthy?_______Think your family is weird?
Just spend a few hours at a state fair in the crowds! You'll go home with a new perspective and a greater appreciation of what you got!
Almost sounds like something from the cable guy? Or Mater in Cars
If your thinking I'm poking fun at rednecks remember this! If these guys were to pack it in, this country would come to a screeching halt in a heartbeat!!! I do come from the heartland of trailer parks, NASCAR, and rednecks! I don't subscribe to their politics but I respect them just the same. |

Ha ha... yeah, I would love to put up some virtual decorations but it's too much work. That's one of the things on my long to do list though... create some background code that automatically changes the site graphics according to the holidays (sort of like they do with the Google logo). I'm sure I'll get to it eventually...

BTW, was just using a free VST for the first time and really like how transparent it is so thought I'd pass it along. It's a Noise Gate that's part of a 3-some from digitalfishphones called FloorFish and you can download the Mac or PC ver. here:
