Hi every one, I just bought the sonic implants blue jay drums and session drums in gig format to use with VSampler. The kits are really fantastic except for 1 problem. The highhats on the kits on not assigned to a mute group. That is, the close highhat does not close/mute the open highhat. Same goes for the peddle highhat. I have no idea how to set this up in VSampler. Also, I am visually impaired and I have problems navigating the VSampler interface. If possible, Can some one please either tell me step by step how to set this up for each of the kits so that my wife can help me? Or if some one has the time, I can send the files for you to do it for me and send them back as vs3 files? But I don't mind trying it on my own if some one can explain it to me. Thanks in advance for any help. Jason
I might be able do this As I have Awave. and a recent SFZ thread on choke groups at Cake instruments posted the code. if I have the SFZ code I can convert to Vsampler.
I do not need the samples. Not a good thing
What I do need is a list of sounds and the midi keys that trigger them then when you open the vsampler preset no samples will be present you then browse to the folder set the sound and when your done hit save as and you should be good.
If I remember correctly Blue jay kits have choke groups. Why the gig sets didn't have them might involve a update to the giga sampler that was not addressed at vsampler. Blue Jay kits collections also come as soundfonts. If I remember correctly a cross grade to a different format might be possible as well but you must contact Sonivox directly with your problem. Giga is 24 bit?
I have contacted Sonivox/sonic implants directly with a fast and courteous reply to help me and my situation. They are really helpful folks. Or they were when I contacted them.
Love to make that music,as well I love to tweak,Make my own sample sets
