I've had my Kurzweil K2500 since 1999 and really hope to upgrade/update it, soon, but I've got a couple CD Rom disc tutorials for it and wonder how to "migrate" them to my 64 bit Windows 10 PCs.

They won't open, so I apparently don't have the proper program. I can open them on my old XP Pentium 4 machine, however.

What am I missing?

How can I copy the discs to my other studio PC's?

Apparently there is a an .exe Why can't I open/run that one on my studio desktop (Windows 10 Home Prem)?

This is not an area I'm all that capable ..... LOL
So, ANY help will truly be appreciated.

Michael

If the EXE is old enough to run on XP, it may not be compatible with Win 10. Not sure how you would go about getting it to work. Sorry.

That seems to be the issue and I haven't found a solution yet.
So, thanks for the corroboration.

I'll keep trying to find a way around this, though. The tutorials on this Synth-Tek disc are really good and there are lots of them, which would be handy for anything I haven't done in a long while! LOL

Michael

ps the exe must be old. I couldn't even open it on the XP machine yesterday. The disc is perfect BTW- no marks/scratches.
