Posted - 06/12/2012 : 4:35:18 PM I have a project I've been working on, and I saved it in it's own file on my desktop. When I open the desktop file, and click on the Sonar file, Sonar opens as normal with a box in the middle of the track view that has the name of my file. When I click open it says "This file already exists. Please choose a different project name". But the file listed IS the file I want. I can't get it to open. Thanks! |

Yep, the Per-Project option makes organizing your project files much easier.
Thanks for reading my book! Scott

Posted - 06/13/2012 : 4:27:41 PM Hi David,
I'm not exactly sure how you're saving your files. You should be using the Per-Project Folder option in SONAR and you should be saving projects in only one location, which is designated in SONAR's folder options. Are you doing that?

Posted - 06/13/2012 : 1:38:28 PM Yes, that works, but I wanted to keep all related files together of a given project (Sibelius, pdf's, exported mix, original Sonar, etc). This works fine with Sibelius and most other file types. Why can't I save it this way? Is this a bug? |

I'm not exactly sure what's happening there... what if you open SONAR first. And then try loading the project using the File > Open menu?
